Cancellation Policy Overview
We understand that travel plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while covering our commitments to travel partners and service providers. Different tour types have different cancellation terms, as detailed below.
Fixed Departure Tours

Customized Holidays
For customized holidays, our cancellation policies consider the specific terms from our travel partners for your itinerary. Generally, these terms apply:

Full refund minus administrative fee of ₹500 per person
24-48 Hours Notice
50% refund of total booking amount
Less than 24 Hours Notice

Date Changes and Tour Transfers
Requests to change travel dates or transfer to a different tour are subject to availability and may incur additional charges:
- 60+ days before departure: Administrative fee of ₹5,000 per person
- 30-59 days before departure: Administrative fee of ₹10,000 per person
- Less than 30 days before departure: Treated as a cancellation and new booking
Please Note: Any airline tickets, train tickets, or other transportation bookings are subject to the cancellation policies of the respective companies, which may be different from our policy.
Cancellations by Indic Journeys
We reserve the right to cancel any tour for reasons including but not limited to insufficient participation, force majeure events, or safety concerns. In such cases:
- You will receive a full refund of the amount paid to us
- Or, you may choose to transfer to another available tour or receive a credit for future travel
- We are not responsible for additional expenses incurred by participants in preparing for the tour (e.g., non-refundable airline tickets, visa fees, gear, or medical expenses)
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage. This can protect your investment if you need to cancel for covered reasons such as illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances.
How to Request a Cancellation
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to indicjourneys@gmail.com. The date of receipt of the email will be used to calculate any applicable cancellation fees.
Refund Processing
Eligible refunds will be processed within 30 business days of receiving your cancellation request. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method when possible.
